Me at Flux Exhibition London
I paint joyfully and intuitively with a feeling not a plan. Constantly exploring, my paintings evolve with layers, maybe glimpses of things almost covered, rich textures and big energetic sweeps evoking a sense of both serenity and energy.
I use a huge variety of brushes and mark making tools in a variety of medium’s, Oil and Cold Wax, Acrylics, Collage.
My work is often Coastal inspired, with my studio over looking the fabulous Jurassic Coast in Teignmouth Devon. Using a similar pallet I also do vibrant Still Life’s The one common thread is it’s all JOYFUL, DYNAMIC and FUN
Once I begin the painting starts to reveal its direction and what I’m trying to convey. Each piece is my expressed emotion evoked by being in the landscape and just absorbing how it makes me feel. I find I bounce between the rules of composition and pure instinct.
BIO-Born in Devon, UK, although travelled the World extensively. I am very driven, passionate and focused.
I have won awards for my artwork, been selected for several exhibitions including Flux, London. Exhibited in Madrid and had more than 7 Solo exhibitions to date with more scheduled. My journey ahead is looking very exciting and if you are still reading THANK YOU and hope you have subscribed
